The route starts out by following the right bank of the Lis river upstream. This is an extremely beautiful location, where, for a few months every year, you can see water coming out of the spring. From here the route leads you through the valley between the Maunça mountains and the Senhora do Monte mountains, climbing trails and dirt roads that alternate between heathland and forest, where strawberry trees and oak are common. At km 1.55 you can see a gravel pit and some signs of spectacular limestone phenomena, while taking the detour that shortens the path, avoiding the ascent to the highest point. Returning to the main path, after about 3,8 km you arrive at the top of Maunça (435 m), from where on days with good visibility, you can see the City of Leiria and the Berlengas islands to the southwest. At km 5.4 you start your descent on dirt roads and paths until you come to Torrinhas, crossing several cultivated fields, where you can see olive groves, vineyards, and other signs of agricultural production. As you approach the town, the route crosses a forested area for several hundred metres before entering the south side of Fontes. From this point you walk through narrow streets, until you cross the bridge over the Lis river, where you can now see the end of the route.
