Continuing in a northerly direction, the route takes you through the gardens of the Monte Real Palace Hotel, where you can see the hotel building and the spas that were restored in 2008. From the 1950s to 1980s, this was one of the most important spas destinations in Portugal. Proceeding in the direction of the farmland, you arrive at km 1.9 on the left bank of the Lis river, which you will follow for approximately 2.5 km and from which you can observe the Fishing Trail of the Lis Valley, as well as various types of birds common to rivers. When you reach the north-east side of Monte Real, you go around the roundabout (km 4.5) and begin the climb that takes you to the ruins of Paços da Rainha and the Rainha Santa chapel, which due to its elevation, gives you a view of the landscape around Lis and the path travelled so far. From here, our route descends to the more populated area of the town, passing near the chapel of São João Batista (km 5), the former City Hall of Monte Real and the Pillory. Finally, you pass through the narrow Rua dos Vales, until you reach the Main Church of Monte Real, and the end of the route.
