The Rota das Termas (thermal Springs Route) is a small, circular walking route that is perfect for those seeking to explore the Serra daEstrela, providing an immersive experience in the wild nature of the hills.

This route, which is of moderate difficulty, takes walkers down several old paths and drove roads that snake through Estrela Valley, presenting adventurers with a chance to explore the village of Unhais. The landscape is dotted with elements of vernacular architecture related to traditional pastoral pursuits. With some of thehighest peaks in the mountain range serving as a backdrop, the routewinds its way through several places of interest, including Fonte da Saúde (the Fountain of Health), the Ribeira da Estrela, Sítio dos Poisos, the Unhais drove roads and Ribeira da Alforfa.
