The Municipal Museum of Coruche, located in the historic center of the village, has been part of the Portuguese Museum Network since 2002, and its journey has deserved, over the years, the recognition of various entities.
It includes three thematic museum centers (in the areas of bullfighting, rurality and education) and offers heritage itineraries, and the long-term exhibition, in the headquarters building, is a structuring element in the museum experience. Under the title «Coruche: Heaven, Earth and Men» tells, based on the concept of the sacred, the history of Coruche since the most remote times. It values the municipality's territory and the local heritage: mobile and immobile, material and immaterial, natural and cultural in the region, where the Sorraian lezíria and the cork oak forest deserve a prominent place in our millenary cultural, historical and landscape identity.
