River Beach of Janeiro de Baixo
As Janeiro de Baixo is one of the Aldeias do Xisto, the river beach is located in an area with a rich and vast historical and ethnographic heritage, which is best exemplified by the "tronco de ferrar” (horseshoe trunk), the parish house, the ferry and the Mother Church.
It is an idyllic place, as the valleys through which the Zêzere meanders are among the most beautiful and important natural heritage of the Beiras and of Portugal.
The beach has a wide strip of sand and the beautiful river invites bathers to rent the canoes offered by the camp site.
