The Pampilhosa da Serra MTB Centre has 122 km of marked trails.
MTB Centers, implemented in Portugal for the first time by Aldeias do Xisto, are permanent sports infrastructures, consisting of networks of trails for the practice of mountain biking and reception areas with equipment dedicated exclusively to leisure MTB practitioners. These places are equipped with parking, changing rooms, service station for bicycles (washing, air and mini-workshop) on a self-service basis. The Centers offer CrossCountry, DownHill or FreeRide trails, with specific markings, adopted internationally, with four levels of difficulty (green, blue, red and black) suitable for all types of users, from those who want to start up to the most demanding. Currently, 50 routes and more than 1500 km.

The MTB Center of Pampilhosa da Serra consists of a changing room building, sanitary facilities, a bicycle service station, network of bike paths properly signposted with about 122 km and 4 levels of difficulty. As you travel through the vast network of trails you will travel through rural roads, schist villages, areas of great technical difficulty, areas of Natural 2000 Network, unique landscapes in the country surrounding the Santa Luzia reservoir. Part of the trails, which make up the center, are located at high altitudes, sometimes over 1,300 metres.Its use is free of charge, with the exception of the bathing and bike washing area. This MTB Center is a tourist and sports infrastructure located at the confluence of a network of footpaths linking the Aldeias do Xisto of Fajão and Janeiro de Baixo.
